Abstract
Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the scapula stabilization exercise program on rounded shoulder function in college students.

Method: 40 participants were assigned either to the experimental group or the control group and underwent scapula stabilization exercise program for 5 weeks. Outcome measures included the Acromion height test, Scapular index, Shoulder pain and Disability index(SPADI) were calculated to the evaluate the scapula stability.

Results: The experimental group showed significant difference in the Acromion height test and Scapular index test(p<.05). The control group showed no significant difference in the Acromion height test and Scapular index test. The experimental group showed significant difference in the pain(p=.004), disability(p=0.000) SPADI(p=.002) as compared to the controls.

Conclusion: These results suggest that the scapula stabilization exercise program significantly increased round shoulder function in college student. Future research should be considered comparing various exercise program, selecting intervention period, and selecting participants¡¯ characteristics.
